Agnes G. Armstrong, age 84, of Vineland, passed away Sunday unexpectedly while being treated at the SJH Regional Medical Center in Vineland.
Agnes was born in Bridgeton and raised on her family’s farm in Norma. She was a city of Vineland resident for the last 60 years. Agnes was a Scientific Dept. Packer for Owens-Illinois Glass Manufacturing in Vineland before retiring in 1990 after over 35 years of service. Agnes enjoyed visiting the Atlantic City casinos and playing the state lottery. She loved flowers and collected teddy bears. As a devoted family person, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Agnes (Kascak) & Frederick Gustafson, she was predeceased by her brother, Frederick; her two sisters, Christina & Ethel & her daughter-in-law, Connie Armstrong.
Agnes is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years William; her sons, William R. Jr. & Robert S. of Vineland; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Bacon & her husband Bruce of Vineland; 3 sisters, Marie, Hazel, & Annie; 6 grandchildren, Tracey, Robert Jr., William W., Stephanie, Brandi, & Carla; 15 great-grandchildren; a niece, Gina Grotti; & 2 nephews, Ronald & Donald Gustafson.
Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. & Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland. Her funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Siloam Cemetery.
