Elsie Edna L. Maturo (Muzzarelli), 85, of Vineland, NJ passed away on Wednesday in the SJH Reg. Med. Ctr., Vineland, NJ. Mrs. Maturo was born in Buena and was a lifelong Vineland city resident. She was the daughter of the late Ettore & Pearl Muzzarelli and the wife of the late Thomas Maturo, Jr. She was also pre deceased by her brother, Ernie Muzzarelli and sisters Mary McKelvie & Nancy Camishion. Mrs. Maturo was a graduate of Vineland High School & Glassboro State Teacher’s College. Mrs. Maturo was a school teacher who began her career in the Buena School District and retired from the Vineland Board of Education. She was proud of the difference she made. Mrs. Maturo was the secretary for many years in the family operated Maturo Real Estate Firm in Vineland. She served in the office of Secretary for the Grandparents Association of St. Mary’s Regional School. Always the supportive wife, mother & grandmother, she enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, crocheting, antique collecting, caning, oil painting, reading & expressing her artistic talents. Mrs. Maturo was a parishioner of the St. Isidore the Farmer Church. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Pepitone Son, Thomas Maturo, III Beloved grandson, Blaise Pepitone As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins & good friends whom she loved. Her funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday in the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ where relatives & friends will be received from 9:00- 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
