Eugene “Gene” Pallaver, 86, of South Vineland, NJ passed away on Thursday evening in the SJH Hospice Care Inpatient Care Center, Bridgeton, NJ. Gene was born & raised in Westin, PA and had resided in S. Vineland for the past 75 years. He was the son of the late Esther (Torri) & Fasutino Pallaver. He was predeceased by his first wife Florence, in 1968.
Before retiring, Gene was employed as a carpenter and cabinet maker. In his earlier years he also operated the family farm on Butler Ave. He was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish, Vineland & the Bobby Bee Gunning Club. Gene was an avid hunter, golfer & bowler and also enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles & Phillie’s. Gene also enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his property.
He is survived by his wife of 36 yrs. – Anna (Cantino)
Daughter: Janice & husband Earl Hand, Millville
Sons: Kelsey & wife Cheryl Warfle, Vld.
Earl & wife Karen Warfle, Vld.
Step son: Bob & wife Wilda “Willie” Merlie, Vld.
Sister: Edvidge & husband Solve Serra, Vld.
12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild.
As well as several nieces & nephews.
His funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday in the Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, NJ Burial will be private in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville, NJ. Relatives & friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM & again on Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, NJ.
