Whillmina D. Cummines (nee Tharp), 86, of Vineland, NJ passed away on Saturday morning in the Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia after a brief illness. Mrs. Cummines was born and raised in Vineland where she was a lifelong city resident. She was a graduate of the Vineland Public Schools. Mrs. Cummines was the daughter of the late Atwood & Ethel (Saul) Tharp and the wife of the late Richard E. Cummines who died in 1987. She was also pre deceased by her brother, Alfred S. Tharp & sisters, Verna T. Cheesman & Rena J. Gressman.
Mrs. Cummines assisted her husband in the founding and operation of the R.E. Cummines Building Supplies Company which was founded in 1956 and still family operated today. She was previously employed as a bookkeeper with the Fernal Foundry & B.W. Saul Building Supplies. She was a longtime member of the 1st Presbyterian Church, Vineland. Her family & friends were her life, and she enjoyed her afternoon Pepsi parties.
She is survived by 1 son & daughter in law: Richard E. Cummines, Jr. & Pat

Rev. Jeanette Block of the 1st U.M. Church of Vineland will conduct funeral services at 10:30 AM on Wednesday in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland, NJ with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield. Relatives & friends will be received on Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 AM at Pancoast’s. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank or Music Ministry of the 1st U.M. Church of Vineland, 700 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ.
