Mark E. Schoch, 46, of Vineland, NJ passed away at home on Sunday. Mark was born and raised in Vineland where he was a lifelong city resident. He was the son of the late Edward H. Schoch.
Mark was a graduate of Vineland High School, Cumberland County College & Rowan University. He was most recently employed as a Registered Nurse for the Kennedy Health Systems, Washington Twp and had also worked as a Staff and Charge Nurse for the Veterans Administration Hospital. The focus of Mark’s life was to help his fellow man through service to others. This was evidenced by his community service with the Laurel Lake Rescue Squad as an E.M.T. and also as a volunteer fireman with Panther Road Vol. Fire Co. #5.
Mark was a perpetual student who truly enjoyed learning. Having completed a BS Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Mark worked for several years in Vineland as an accountant. His curiosity and desire to know more, coupled with his growing desire to help others, led him to the healthcare field. At the age of 44, Mark completed an Associates in Applied Science, Nursing degree from Cumberland County College. Mark was enrolled at Drexel University and was pursuing his Bachelor of Science, Nursing degree at the time of his death. His family could not have been more proud of him.
He is survived by his mother: Elaine T. (Shoemaker)

Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday June 5, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland, NJ with a memorial funeral service to be conducted at 4:30 pm. A catered reception will immediately follow at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2384 East Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ.
